Fall Into Winter

This year I’m doing something a little different. In the past, I’ve released a Fall Menu and then a Winter Menu — but Bella Mina has been so busy lately that by the time a new menu comes out, my calendar is already half full! I don’t want anyone to miss out on their favorite seasonal treatments, so this year I’ve combined Fall & Winter Specials into one cozy, extended menu.

Another reason — many of you have told me that you love to keep your favorite fall treatments going well into the winter months. (Pumpkin spice doesn’t have to stop when the snow starts falling!) So here it is: a menu you can enjoy throughout the whole season, with plenty of time to book your favorite autumn rituals, try something new for winter, or treat yourself to both.

First, I started with Cinnamon Ginger for fall. Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil, grounding and spicy, extracted from the inner bark of the tree, can help support the immune system, especially during the colder months, and works as an anti-inflammatory. Its warm and comforting aroma can also help to boost mood (a great pick-me-up for when the days are gray and chilly). Paired with Gnger Essential Oil, also an anti-inflammatory with the added benefits of boosting circulation and collagen production, they make for a spicy, nostalgic and uplifting session. You’ll find these united in the Cinnamon Ginger Massage and Scalp Ritual, a custom massage that concludes with a long scalp massage using Beautique Goals’ Cinnamon Ginger Hair Growth Creme. I just use a pea-sized amount and massage it into scalp and a touch through the hair, then wrap head and hair in a warm, dry towel. Or, choose the Cinnamon Ginger Massage and Manicure if you’re looking for a little hand TLC and want to leave with freshly polished nails.

Next, I just had to bring Marshmallow back, because there’s nothing like daydreaming of sitting by a crackling fire, toasting s’mores and listening to the crickets and cicadas symphony of the autumn outdoors. For the Toasted Marshmallow Massage, Rice Bran Oil with Vitamin E is blended with Jojoba and Confident Girls’ Toasted Marshmallow Shea Butter. The Shea Butter has a rich, creamy texture to lock in moisture, and I love applying it after the shower and letting its heavenly aroma sink in. If you’re in the mood for a full spa day, book the Toasted Marshmallow Massage & Foot Ritual to add foot and toenail file and clean-up, Himalayan Pink Salt Foot Scrub, and a Servello Marshmallow Foot Mask. The mask has anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties, boosts circulation, and reduces foot aches and pains. While the mask sinks in under a warm foot wrap, enjoy a rejuvenating scalp massage.

Now, on to the winter-themed specials: first, I realized that the breezy, light scent of Aloe Coconut Shea Butter blends perfectly with Pine Essential Oil, so I created the Aloe Pine Massage and Aloe Pine Massage-Facial combo. Pine Essential Oil aids with sleep, stress reduction and mental clarity, and paired with aloe shea butter has that crisp, fresh scent that makes you feel like you’re walking through a beautiful winter alpine forest. For the facial, aloe-based products such as Botanical Aloe Cleanser, Cloudburst Gel Hydrator, and Siren Silk Moisturizer leave your skin hydrated and cold weather-ready.

I needed just one more winter special because the menu still felt incomplete, and I knew I wanted to incorporate something with natural pain relief benefits. Enter the Frosted Eucalyptus Massage and Facial, beginning with a custom massage using Eucalyptus blended with Rosemary Mint, a breath-happy ritual that lifts the mood and awakens the senses. The blend of eucalyptus, rosemary and peppermint essential oils are powerful topical pain relievers, and I massage them vigorously into wherever you’re feeling the most tension for long lasting pain relief. For your facial, peppermint aromatherapy combined with the Ahoy Love Hibiscus and Eucalyptus Facial Mask leave your skin supple and dewy. The mask is especially good for the dry skin that hits a lot of us during the winter months; it’s a soft mask rather than a hardening mask, so it comes off clean and gives your skin a pleasant glow.

And if none of these are quite calling to you, or if you simply like to book signature treatments, that’s fine too, because I always have additional seasonal aromatherapy available to add for free to any session, including Pumpkin Pie Essential Oil (a Revive blend of nutmeg, clove and vanilla), Frankincense and Myrrh for that Christmastime aroma journey, or a rich and earthy Clove and Sandalwood blend.

Whether your heart belongs to the grounding spices of fall or the crisp freshness of winter, there’s something here for you. As always, I’ll be offering warm teas, soft blankets, and hot towels with each service.

My calendar fills quickly, so I encourage you to book ahead if you know which ritual is calling your name this season. And beyond the spa, I hope you’ll also enjoy the little gifts of this time of year — warm drinks by the fire, long walks under golden leaves, or quiet evenings watching the snow fall. I’ll be sitting by my pellet stove sipping hot chocolate with my dogs by my side, and occasionally going show shoeing (also with the dogs by my side, as frolicking in snow and hopping through mounds brings them great joy). However you spend your fall and winter, I hope you’ll find a little magic and a lot of comfort.
