One Last Spring & Summer at Bella Mina
As we move into the next two seasons, I wanted to create some extra-special offerings — a heartfelt thank-you to all my wonderful clients who have helped Bella Mina become what it is today.
This is a bittersweet time for me, my lovely clients, because a new chapter of my life is opening while another gently closes. I am preparing for a relocation to Virginia and will sadly be closing Bella Mina at the end of July.
My partner, our dogs, and I have loved our time here in the mountains, and we’re ready to experience life by the ocean next. I will miss so many things: fresh morning snowfall, warm summer days at the river with the dogs, and forest hikes when the woods smell of pine. And perhaps most of all, I will miss the quiet moments in my little studio — turning on the soft lamps, preparing oils, folding towels, grounding myself with cedarwood, yoga, and prayer before welcoming the first client of the day.
These small rituals have meant the world to me. But new shores, sand, and ocean air await, and I will greet them with a grateful heart.
Before I go, I’ll be putting together small thank-you gift bags that include referrals to other wonderful local studios and shops for massage, esthetics, and nail services. I encourage you to explore and get to know the many talented practitioners in our area, and perhaps discover new techniques, styles, and spaces you enjoy.
You’ll also find a card with a QR code to Bella Mina’s website. While the studio itself will close, the website will transition into an online store. In addition to many of the products you’ve discovered at Bella Mina, I will be offering curated home-care rituals — thoughtfully assembled bundles of products and instructions so you can create your own self-care rituals at home and take a small piece of Bella Mina with you.
Now, onto the excitement of the Spring & Summer Specials Menu, where each offering has its own unique inspiration.
Lemongrass Renewal Massage
Every season deserves a classic customized massage with fresh aromatherapy, so I’ve added the Lemongrass Renewal Massage to the menu. Bright blends of lemongrass and lychee — a sunny yellow citrus fruit — uplift the senses and evoke morning walks through fresh meadows. After the heaviness and stillness of winter, this vibrant combination helps awaken the body, loosen the joints, and invite the lightness of spring back into the muscles.
Meadow Bloom Ritual
Because fresh feet top many of your must-have lists for spring and summer, I created a massage–pedicure combination called the Meadow Bloom Ritual, where you can remain comfortably nestled on the warm (but not too warm!) massage table for your pedicure. Over the winter I discovered an especially velvety chamomile shea butter that I’m thrilled to share with you, paired with Roman chamomile and fresh geranium essential oils for a soft, meadow-like floral experience. For the pedicure, an aloe softening spray and gentle foot file leave feet smooth and refreshed, while chamomile butter deeply hydrates the skin. Finally, enjoy a chamomile and geranium aromatherapy scalp massage while your polish dries.
Coconut Glow Ritual
Massage and facial combinations have always been favorites, so for spring and summer I created the Coconut Glow Ritual. This service begins with a 60-minute massage using aloe and coconut shea butter that melts effortlessly into the skin, followed by a 30-minute express facial featuring aloe and sea minerals to refresh and brighten the complexion. Sea kelp and vitamin C help slough away the dryness of winter, leaving skin soft and radiant. The subtle scent of natural coconut and aloe blends with a whisper of tropical ylang ylang. For me, the aroma brings back memories of walking along palm-lined sandy paths toward the ocean in Hawaii, surrounded by blooming tropical flowers.
Stone Harmony Massage
I have a few clients who truly love hot stone massage even in the summer months. The warmth of basalt stones melts tension and eases muscular pain, but during the warmer season it can be helpful to add a cooling contrast. For this reason I introduced marble massage stones, bathed in cool water, to complement the heat of traditional stones. This creates a beautiful balance — warmth to soften the muscles and coolness to refresh the body and awaken the nervous system. The Stone Harmony Massage is fully customized to your wellness needs and includes your choice of seasonal aromatherapy.
Tropical Renewal Ritual
To bring a touch of island inspiration to our cozy White Mountains and lakes region, I discovered a Lomi Lomi body oil that I believe will quickly become a favorite. This luxurious oil, scented with sweet magnolia, transports you to a lush tropical garden while you enjoy a relaxing massage. After the massage, thirty minutes are dedicated to the scalp and hair. A gentle aromatherapy scalp massage is followed by a cleansing with vanilla foam and a light application of Nourish & Grow Hair Mask infused with neroli, black pepper, and sandalwood. As the mask rests beneath a warm towel wrap, you’ll enjoy a soothing facial massage with apricot oil.
If there is a treatment you’ve been meaning to try, or if you’d simply like to enjoy one more peaceful visit before Bella Mina closes its doors, I would love to see you.
I hope you feel as excited as I do about these seasonal offerings and that you’ll join me at Bella Mina during its final seasons. I am deeply grateful for every client who has walked through the door of this little studio. Your presence, kindness, and trust have helped create something truly special here.
Thank you for being part of Bella Mina’s story. I hope you feel this gratitude long after you leave the studio, and that it carries you gently through your days until we meet again.
Bella Mina has always been about care, presence, and quiet moments of restoration. I hope these final seasons give us a few more of those moments together.
